Collin Morikawa Isn’t Leaving The PGA Tour For LIV Golf, Despite Rumors To The Contrary
Despite LIV Golf reports, Collin Morikawa has stated that he will remain on the PGA Tour.
Despite the allegations, the golfer took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to reiterate his position that he will not leave the PGA Tour.
Morikawa is a professional golfer from the United States who has competed on the PGA Tour and the European Tour. He started his PGA Tour career with a 22-cut streak, second only to Tiger Woods’ 25.
Colin has also won five times on the PGA Tour, including two majors, the 2020 PGA Championship and the 2021 Open Championship. Surprisingly, he was able to win both on his first attempt.
Collin has previously held the top spot in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for three weeks in May 2018. He went on to become the first American to win the Race to Dubai on the European Tour.
Collin Morikawa Isn’t Departing From The PGA Tour For LIV Golf
Collin Morikawa will not be among the PGA Tour golfers to transition to LIV Golf. “The reports involving Collin are absolutely wrong,” Morikawa’s agent, Andrew Kipper, told Golf Digest’s Dan Rapaport.
According to Golf Monthly’s Jeff Kimber, a number of golfers, including Morikawa, were considering transferring to LIV last week.
According to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach, one of the names on that list, Brooks Koepka, became the newest defector on Tuesday.
Abraham Ancer is expected to join the fledgling golf circuit. LIV Golf has signed a number of high-profile players, promising them big salaries and early signing bonuses.
Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Bryson DeChambeau, among the sport’s top players, have defected, resulting in a PGA Tour ban.
Collin Morikawa’s Contract and Earnings Throughout His Career
Collin Morikawa has earned a total of $15,663,988 in prize money throughout the course of his career, averaging $3,132,798 per year, according to sportsbugz.
Morikawa’s estimated net worth is $15,663,988. In 2019, the fourth-ranked golfer signed multi-year contracts with TaylorMade and Adidas just days apart.
Furthermore, in terms of his contract, he signed a sponsorship agreement with US Bank earlier this year.
Morikawa has elected to stay on the PGA Tour, despite speculations of a move to the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Invitational Series.
Following last week’s US Open, rumours began to swirl that the two-time major champion would be one of the dissident circuit’s first signings.
However, after reports surfaced that Brooks Koepka and Abraham Ancer had signed for Greg Norman’s breakaway tour, the 25-year-old took to Twitter to refute the claims and reaffirm his commitment to the PGA Tour.
Collin Morikawa’s Net Worth in 2022: How Much Money Does He Have?
Collin Morikawa is on his path to becoming World No. 1, but the 24-year-old is already a two-time major champion with a $1500 per shot golf swing.
Morikawa has been one of the most successful golfers in the world for many years, and his net worth is estimated to be approximately $7 million.
After graduating from Berkley with a business degree, Morikawa was bound to do well financially.
However, it is safe to conclude that he has amassed a fortune much exceeding that of any of his contemporaries. It’s no surprise that the American is recognised for his faultless iron play when each shot is worth $1488.
Morikawa has made roughly $400,000.00 every time he has teed it up in an event. This equates to $103,000 every round.
