Juan was born on February 6 1981 in Montevideo, Uruguay. The senator grew up in France and received his education in Switzerland.

The international businessman filed the nomination for the President of Uruguay in December of 2018 for the 2019 primary elections.  He presented his nomination by running as a candidate for Partido Nacional (National Party).

In the election, he got 20.68% of the votes. He was competing along with 5 other candidates. He came second just behind the current president of Uruguay, Luis Lacalle Pou.

Sartori later ran for the Senate in the general elections of October. Through the election, he was elected as a senator which makes him the youngest senator in Uruguay.

Juan Sartori’s wife Ekaterina Rybolovleva is a Russian businesswoman as well as a socialite.

Ekaterina was born on June 4 1989 in Perm, Soviet Union. The wife of the Uruguayan senator is the daughter of Russian oligarch Dmitry Rybolovlev.

The daughter of the Russian oligarch has a keen interest in horse riding and began to ride horses when she was just 11 years old. She is also a competitor in different equestrian competitions.

The Russian businesswoman was trained by the British show jumper and three-times Olympian Ben Maher. Further, she has also won Gucci Masters in 2012.

Ekaterina has also ventured with great success across different business fields. Further, she also owns the AS Monaco Football Club via a trust in her name. Her father is the current president of the club.

Sartori and Ekaterina got married on the 21st of October 2015. The marriage took place in a private ceremony on the island of Skorpios.

The couple has two kids and lives together in Uruguay.
