Judith Huth: Who Is She? As she prevails in the long-running assault case, Bill Cosby accuser today
A jury in California decided on Tuesday that Bill Cosby had sexually assaulted Judith Huth when she was 16 years old and agreed to go with him to the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles in 1975.
After accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault in 2014, Californian Judy Huth, 64, rose to fame. When Huth was 16 years old and Cosby was 84, they began dating.
Bill Cosby returned to court in May 2022 to fight Judith Huth’s civil lawsuit. The claims made against him have been denied by him.
The decision hurt a man’s reputation since it caused his status as one of America’s most beloved celebrities to crumble after multiple women came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct.
Judith Huth: Who Is She? Today’s Bill Cosby Accuser
After accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault in 2014, Californian Judy Huth, 64, rose to fame. Huth and Cosby started dating when Huth was 16 and Cosby was 84.
She claims that during that time, the famous person sexually assaulted her in a bedroom at the Los Angeles Playboy Mansion; Cosby continues to deny these accusations.
The defendant does not dispute that he interacted with the plaintiff at the Playboy Mansion, according to court documents that his lawyers sent to The New York Times.
The defendant “vehemently disputes that plaintiff was underage, as he did with other ladies and males who frequented the club.”
When Huth filed the case after Cosby’s release from prison in 2014, her account was made public for the first time.
In addition, Lili Bernard, a former cast member of The Cosby Show, is suing Cosby in a separate civil case in New Jersey on the grounds that Cosby drugged and molested her in Atlantic City in 1990.
Update on Janae Sergio, a victim of Bill Cosby and Judith Huth.
The jury reached a judgement and granted Judith Huth a $500,000 damage award. After the jury was removed by the judge, Ms. Huth hugged her counsel and beamed while the courtroom listened to the judgement in quiet.
Ms. Huth, who was sat next to Gloria Allred, her attorney, told a reporter in the courtroom, “I feel vindicated.
She said, “It’s a great, huge step forward for all the victims out there.” He needs to make amends for what he did to so many women, and soon.
The verdict was significant not only for Ms. Huth, who first made her accusations in 2014, but also for many other women who have long accused Mr. Cosby of committing similar types of assault.
The Huth case gave them a second chance to get their claims publicly vindicated after an appeals panel overturned Mr. Cosby’s criminal conviction in the Andrea Constand case last year on the grounds of due process.
What transpired while Judith Huth was on trial?
A civil jury found Bill Cosby guilty of abusing Judith Huth when she was 16 years old.
Despite Cosby’s protestations to the contrary, the jury concluded that Huth was a minor and that Cosby had a reasonable comprehension of that fact.
On June 17, during closing arguments, Huth’s attorney, Nathan Goldberg, told the jury that Huth “deserves to have Mr. Cosby held accountable for what he did.”
He declared, “Everyone of you knows in your heart that Mr. Cosby attacked Miss Huth. Throughout the trial, Huth was questioned by Cosby’s attorney Jennifer Bonjean regarding any potential discrepancies in her statements.
Like Donkey Kong, it plays. “Game over,” Bonjean declared as she addressed the jury in her final remarks.
She murmured something, and Goldberg said, “This is about justice!”
Game over is not necessary! Justice is necessary!
