A weird incident took place in Cambodia when some fishermen caught a huge stingray. The images and videos of the massive sea creature are strolling all over social media. It is being said that the stingray has created another world record for the largest freshwater fish recorded so far. Some of the videos of the gigantic stingray are trending all over social media. The man who caught the stingray informed the biologists about the creature he has been discovered. The officers arrived at the scene and they were even surprised while analyzing the sea creature. The scientist found that it was 13 feet long and weighs around 300kg. In addition to this, the stingray was found on 13th June in the Mekong River in Cambodia’s northeast, south of Stung Treng. After that, the video and pictures of the stingray got widely spread on various social media platforms.

Before the largest stingray, it was a catfish holding the title of the biggest freshwater creature. The catfish was around 293kg heavy discovered in the same river of Thailand back in the year 2005. The news premiered on the local news channel of Thailand showing the video of the stingray also posted on YouTube showing a group of local people and biologists recorded lowering the tarp off the stingray leaving her back into the river. People in the video leaving her in the water are being heard in the video saying goodbye to the giant river animal.

As we mentioned above a fisherman who belonged to northern Cambodia was incredibly surprised after a giant stingray stuck in his hook and when he lifted the hook he discovered the largest creature in the lake in the world. The 13 feet long stingray weighs around 661 pounds. The reports of one of the significant wildlife broadcasters National Geographic released information that shared that the stingray was captured on 13th June of the ongoing year on Koh Preah island on the Mekong River in the Stung Treng area.
